Nicole Rio was cast in her first starring role with The Zero Boys, followed by a starring role with Honorary Academy Award winning film producer Roger Corman in the cult classic Sorority House Massacre. After a run of staring roles in her late teens and early twenties, Rio decided to work "behind the scenes" establishing her own company, Lemuria Films. She aligned herself with the likes of Paramount Executive David Madden (Cort/Madden Productions) and Hart Brothers Entertainment (through which Bella Cinema Film Company was born) before moving into the position of VP of Development for Superluminal Films in 2003. She then moved into a position working alongside Academy Award winning producer and co-founder of Imagine Entertainment, Brian Grazer. Rio co-founded RioVey Films in 2013, and most recently formed Purple Frame Entertainment, a film financing and production company, in the role of CEO with partner Sebastian Shariati. Her acting career has enjoyed resurgence as the lead role opposite Eric Roberts and Ricco Ross in a new thriller entitled "Story of Eva", in which there are set plans for a sequel. Show less «
