Nick Ruggia was raised in Hoboken, New Jersey. He went to college at The University of Maryland for journalism. When he graduated in 2009, he interned at The Onion and decided to pursue comedy. He then studied improvisation and sketch at the Upright Citizens' Brigade Theater while beginning to perform stand up comedy regularly. He has appeared on several reality shows and contributed jokes to some scripted venues.
