Nicholas John Cester was born on 6 July 1979 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He is better known as the lead singer of rock band Jet. The band was formed nine years ago and is comprised of Nic (vocals), his brother Chris Cester (drums), Cameron Muncey (guitar) Mark Wilson (bass). When Jet first began performing in clubs, Nic was working in a Melbourne factory as a forklift operator. The band was signed to record label Elektra after their debut single, "Take It Or Leave It", became a hit. Nic currently tours with Jet for most of the year, but when he's not traveling he hangs out in his home town of Melbourne.
