You need to accept who you are, inside and out. Never try to be someone else or someone you're not. You will be forever searching for comfort when all along, it's within.Fall in love with the strengths of your personality. Appreciate your: witty, smart, graceful, happy, motivated, assertive, organized and/or caring self. Dance, sing, speak: do the things that make you feel confident. It's about being aware of makes you feel insecure and what makes you feel confident. I've been in situations where I could feel my confidence deteriorate, so I got up and removed myself. Surround yourself with people who ignite your positive attributes. Fall in love with the flaws of your physical body. Accept it for what it is. If you're unhappy with your body, do not whinge or compare yourself to someone else. Fall in love with your body. When someone tells you how beautiful you are, believe them.I don't work-out to look like a Victoria Secret Model; I exercise because it drives my motivation, confidence, determination, willpower, organization, and of course, my health. To be transparent with you, growing up, I never aspired to become a 'social media person.'. I grew up in traditional Asian culture; which means that unless you want to be ostracized, your career options are restricted to medicine, law or finance. Blogging has become a commercially viable business, and I have fallen head over heels in love with my uplifting little community. I wake up every morning doing what I love, so isn't my choice a no-brainer?Self-worth is a topic that I write about a lot. Having good relationships with people starts with having a healthy relationship with yourself. If you know your worth, you won't care about how people perceive youEveryone is different. Everyone will carve their pathway in their own time. Don't let someone else's life choices make you feel anything but confidence in yourself. You are capable of doing anything that you put your heart into - don't let anyone tell you otherwise. My Instagram is only a snapshot and so is yours.Growing up, I used to care about what people thought about me. Today, I don't give a sh*t. And I can't tell you how liberating it feels. Show less «
