Michael Goldman

Michael Goldman is a longtime Hollywood journalist and book author. He has penned seven books related to TV, film, or film education, co-authored one, and edited one. His next movie book, "The Making of Disney's Jungle Cruise," will debut July 2021. Before that, he penned 2019's "The Art and Making of Disney's The Lion King." His 2013 book, "John Wayne: The Genuine Article" was a New York Times Bestseller, and he also wrote 2012's "Clint Eastwood: Master Filmmaker at Work," fan books for the TV shows "24" and "Heroes," and an 80-year history of the USC School of Cinematic Arts called "Reality Ends Here." Goldman also penned the 1995 movie book "Mortal Kombat: Behind the Scenes," and with it, the TNT television documentary, "Mortal Kombat: Behind the Dragon." Over the years, he has been a regular contributor to American Cinematographer magazine, Emmy, CineMontage, Cinematography World, SMPTE Newswatch, Studio Daily, Ventura Boulevard, and many other magazines and websites, served for many years as senior editor at Millimeter magazine, and before that, as an editor at Daily Variety.
