Meredith Zealy, who captured our hearts in the film The Notebook, has come a long way from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Perhaps it was the rags-to-riches-to-rags childhood that gave Meredith the ability to shine in both half hour comedies as well as emotionally charged dramas. Raised in Plantation, Florida, by her mother Madeleine, a former real estate agent, and her father, Michael, a lawyer, Meredith had a crazy childhood watching over her three brothers. After studying in London and working her way through college at New World School of the Arts, Meredith packed her bags and headed for Los Angeles only ten days after graduation. She worked as a personal assistant for numerous families including Kate and Steven Spielberg while furthering her career in film and television. Her first break came in the film Good Advice only months after arriving in LA when an actress failed to appear on set. Director Steve Rash pulled Meredith aside and asked how fast the young actress could memorize her lines. The rest is history. After several guest star roles including "Three Sisters" and "Crossing Jordan", Meredith spread her comedic wings opposite David Spade when she guest starred last season on "Just Shoot Me". In addition to filming, Meredith loves surfing, rock climbing, martial arts, stunt driving and everything else that scares her - talents that landed her the role as Britney Murphy's right hand woman in the film Little Black Book. She also volunteers weekly as a hot line counselor at the Suicide Prevention Center in Los Angeles. Show less «
