Maurizio Di Meo

Maurizio Di Meo is a New York based actor recently graduated from the William Esper Studio, where he gratefully explored the Meisner Technique at its best, under remarkable coach William Esper. Upon moving to the Big Apple in 2014, he decided to focus on further academic development, as much as self-knowledge and personal growth, with unique theater director and teacher Terry Schreiber at the T. Schreiber Studio where he studied for almost a year. Born in Atina and raised in Cassino, a small Italian town south of Rome, Maurizio has been pursuing his lifelong passion for the performing arts for several years now. He started studying the Stanislavsky & Strasberg method under renowned acting coach, Beatrice Bracco, where he landed his first theater roles in classics such as "The Glass Menagerie", "California Suite", "Three Sisters" and "A Streetcar Named Desire". While studying acting and while attending the University of Science and Technology of Communication in Rome, he effectively worked in TV (RAI) for a year and later approached post-sync dialogue for Italian films with historic supervisor and prominent director Mario Maldesi, with whom he trained privately for many years, eventually lending his voice to a variety of film and television credits. After almost a decade in Rome, he moved to Los Angeles in 2008, joining the acclaimed Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre where he studied for almost 5 years, perfecting aspects of his craft. Well known among the Stella community, his theater credits included many plays, such as "Words, Words, Words", "Welcome to the Moon", "Sure Thing", "California Suite", "Small Days", "Waiting for Lefty", "Romeo and Juliet", "Easy Chair", "The Laramie Project", "The Cherry Orchard", and "Midsummer Night's Dream", in the iconic role of Nick Bottom. Other substantial training has been including a long collaboration with Multi-Award winning writer and director Martin Donovan at Playhouse West, and voice coach Claire Corff at the Corff Voice Studio. While living in Los Angeles, Maurizio acquired several voice over and film credits, taking on roles in the suspense feature, "The Insomniac" and "Being American", with lead actor Robert Miano ("Donnie Brasco", "The Fast and The Furious"). "The Insomniac", directed by SXSW award winning director, Monty Miranda, which also boasts a supporting cast of star performers such as Danny Trejo ("Heat", "Machete"), John Heard ("Home Alone", "Deceived") and Alimi Ballard (" Numbers", "Trooper"). After successfully landing his first leading role in the upcoming debut feature "Accidental Muse", directed by indie prodigy Roana Wullinger, Maurizio decided to move to New York, with many recommendations to further master his craft in the business.
