Matthew Byrge

Matthew "Matt" Ratcliffe Byrge is an American actor from the Atlanta area. An army veteran, former civil engineer, and accomplished pianist, Matt followed his passion and plunged into acting in 2018. Since his first role in the feature film, Just Mercy, Matt has been a featured extra in several TV series and multiple films, including the latest film in the Jumanji franchise as a Viking.Matthew was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and is the the 3rd of four children in his family. He has one older brother, one older sister and one younger sister. He is fluent in German and lived in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany for many years. An avid body builder for his entire adult life, Matt is passionate about health and fitness. He now lives in the Atlanta suburbs with his wife, Jill, and their twelve rescued cats.
