Matt was born in Florence, Italy, where he grew up, from Italian/American parents. He got into theatre at an early age and continued his formation through Los Angeles, California, USA, and now Sydney, Australia where he graduated from NIDA in 2016. In 2015 he starred in Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge and Alien : Covenant, directed by Ridley Scott.
