Marta was born in Rome. She attended the National Academy of Dance in Rome and she gaduated as an Actor at the CSC National School of Cinema in Rome. She began acting at age of 4. Her first appearance was next to Domenico Modugno in the tv movie "Il maestro di violino". At age of 5 she performed next to Paola Borboni and Anna Proclemer in "George Sand", a tv drama directed by Giorgio Albertazzi. She also appeared in Casa Cecilia, the first popular Italian sitcom with Delia Scala, in the tv drama "Martin Eden" by Giacomo Battiato and in "Giallo Sera" with Renzo Palmer. At 8 years old her debut in cinema thanks to Francesco Rosi, who wanted her in a leading role in his film "Tre fratelli" (Three brothers) with an amazing cast: Vittorio Mezzogiorno, Philippe Noiret, Michele Placido and Charles Vanel. Appearing in Three Brothers, in May 1981 Marta was the youngest actress at Cannes' festival. The film was also nominated at Oscar 1982. She was directed by Steno in "Quando la coppia scoppia" with Enrico Montesano, and she played young Fanny Ardant in Anna Maria Tatò's film "Desiderio". She was twice Mario Merola's daughter in the famous films "Carcerato and Tradimento" by Alfonso Brescia. In 1985 Marta performs with Tom Conti and Giancarlo Giannini in the American movie "Saving Grace" directed by Robert Young. She played Basemah in "Solomon" - The Bible tv movie. In 1998 she was in the movie "Bonanno - A godfather's story" next to Costas Mandylor. After she played the funny character of Denise in the popular tv series "Un medico in famiglia", the producers decided to give her the leading role in one of the most popular Italian tv series," I Cesaroni". Three cameos in Fausto Brizzi's movies " Ex", "Maschi vs femmine" and "Femmine vs maschi". In summer 2011, Woody Allen wrote a role especially for her in "To Rome with lov"e, next to Roberto Benigni. She played the leading role in the famous tv series "Squadra Antimafia", "Squadra Mobile" in 2014/2015. In 2017 she is one of the leadings of the Tribeca Film Fest winner film "The Divine Order" by Petra Volpe, the film was also running for the Oscars and was worldwide distributed. In this movie Marta speaks german fluently. In 2018 she has a leading role in "Il destino degli uomini" by Leonardo Tiberi In 2019 Marta is leading in "Il cacio con le pere", first movie of Luca Calvani.
