Other film credits include Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life where she shot with Jessica Chastain and the feature films Somebody Marry Me with Michael Lerner and Sake Bomb for which she received a nomination for Best Actress from New York's Winter Film Awards.She attended the University of Arkansas where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors from the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. She has her Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin, and volunteers in animal rescue through fostering and spreading awareness. Show less «

Am I telling the truth? I try not to do anything in an empty way, just because I think I should. So there are the mechanics of working on a set, doing publicity, preparing for an audition, and I do all of those but at the same time I ask myself if it's really me, and if it's not I look harder. Because there's no point trying to figure out what other people want. That is an impossible task. And it's boring. Show less «

Being originally from the east coast I somehow never took on a Southern accent, even though it completely lives in me. So growing up I never felt like I belonged in the South, or anywhere in particular, really, and was always searching for where that might be. I am sure that figures in my attraction to acting and especially the characters I most like to play. They always have a strong regional identity - I absolutely love doing dialects. Show less «
