Mark Bramhall began acting professionally in 1966, in the original company of San Francisco's American Conservatory Theatre. He has performed off-Broadway, at regional theatres nationwide and dozens of California venues, including 34 productions while a Resident Artist at A Noise Within. Favorite stage roles include Harpagon in "The Miser," Virgil in "Bus Stop," Howard in "Picnic," Lucky in "Waiting For Godot" and both Benedick and Dogberry in separate productions of "Much Ado About Nothing." More recently in Los Angeles, he has starred at Sacred Fools Theatre, The Lillian Theatre, Pico Playhouse, Actors' Co-op, Odyssey Theatre Ensemble and The Antaeus Company. He won a 2012 Ovation Award covering James Cromwell,Alan Mandell and Hugo Armstrong in Center Theatre Group's "Waiting For Godot" at the Mark Taper Forum, and was nominated for a 2013 Ovation Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in 24th St. Theatre's "Walking The Tightrope." Other honors include L.A. Drama Critics Circle, Garland, LA Weekly and Dramalogue awards, as well as a 2013 Audie nomination and numerous citations for excellence in audiobook narrations.
