Mark has just graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts. He started his career as a Police Officer and Detective in England and New Zealand before catching the acting bug when he auditioned for Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy. He got the plum role of Richard Armitage's scale acting double. At the end of filming, he had not only worked in lieu of Richard but also played various other roles, and been accepted into the New Zealand stunt guild.Whilst studying he took every opportunity to gain outside experience. This resulted in roles in, New Zealand Opera's Flying Dutchman, the short films Far Away, Solomon, Fisk Mota and Trapped, as well as commercial work.He put his energy and enthusiasm into the challenging Samuel Becket play, Krapp's last tape and performed it to a very positive reaction as his end of year piece. He also received good reviews for the devised piece Me/You/Us/Them, performed at Wellingtons' Bats Theatre. Most recently he played Ketkrókur in Universal Pictures hugely successful film Krampus, where he was able to draw on both his stunt and acting skills.
