Lucy DeLaat is a Canadian/American Actor, Screenwriter, Director and Producer. She has appeared in numerous Television shows and films, as well as produced her own commercial work under ACTRA IPA. She has a background and training in Production, Screenwriting, Direction, Performance, and Business Administration.In past work in advertising, marketing and consultant, she has an impressive client list. They have included: PolyGram Records, Playboy , Universal, Mirvish Entertainment, and M.A.C Cosmetics. She was responsible for the visioning and execution of the world's first online fund-raiser for HIV/AIDS around CanStage's production of Tony Kushner's, Angels In America. In addition to being a fully accredited ACTRA performer and Member of the Academy, she has many screen works registered with the WGA.As of January 2014, she has completed her work on three films. Her feature, Nana Means King, co-written with constant writing and creative partner, Jeff Wood, is set for release in Summer of 2014.Lucy has several feature length scripts and short films she continues to write with Jeff, in various stages of development. She is writing and directing a new dramatic comedy series for web, entitled, Under Pressure. The series, also co-written by Jeff, was created in partnership with Sofia Stefou. Additionally, Lucy works in Development in both Los Angeles and Toronto on several other projects in various stages of development.She remains active in various charity work for Women's/Human Rights and causes to support Diversity in the Arts.
