Lora Antoinette Chatman was born to Anthony W. Chatman and Lora Hardy Chatman on November 27th, 1992. Unlike many, she didn't originally know she wanted to be an actress. Instead, her attention was focused on sports. She was a runner, tennis player, basketball player, and the occasional Ultimate Frisbee lover. It was when she was 13 that the acting bug bit her when she saw one of her older sisters, Shellyta, perform at a local community theater. Following in her sister's footsteps, she started auditioning for youth theatre shows. Eventually, she was recruited into a teen outreach program called "Theatre Quest" where she learned what went into putting on a production scratch; how to create sets, lighting, script writing, casting, marketing, etc. When she was 17 she became the secretary of Theatre Quest, and the following year was promoted to president of the group for 2 years in a row.Around this time, Lora took her first on-camera acting class. She loved it and wound up continuing this class for multiple years. Through the class, she was discovered by her agents at Talent Trek Agency. After being signed with TTA, Lora went on to Guest Star and Co-Star on Snapped and Snapped: Killer Couples (on Oxygen) and Fatal Attraction (on TvOne). Lora was thankful for these opportunities, however always had the drive for more. She was signed by Premiere Studio Entertainment and became managed by Garrell Woods, a longtime friend and fellow performer. Through him, she landed a principal role in the movie "All She Wishes". She appeared in few local fashion shows and commercials, but eventually discovered the world of being a Brand Ambassador. By herself, she was able to find multiple promotions to work in Chattanooga, Birmingham, Knoxville, and Atlanta.Lora makes her living by juggling being an actress, model, dancer, and brand ambassador. She even has a small graphic design business with her sister, Shellyta, and also helped co-write and publish a novel, "Gifted Chains: Unlocked Beginnings", which is available at Barnes & Noble and on Amazon.com. Even with book 2 in the works, Lora Chatman made the decision to officially move to Atlanta, GA in mid-2015 to further her acting career. Show less «
