Leslie A. Jones aka Mister Jones hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After serving in the U.S. Army he relocated to Los Angeles CA. There he would study theater and film at The Wilshire Theater Arts Academy. He landed his first theater job in 1991 with the Mojo Ensemble portraying Moses Blues in Judi Ann Mason's award winning play "Indigo Blues". Playing alto saxophone in this production gained him recognition as an accomplished saxophonist, composer and actor. He was presented with a Los Angeles Weekly Award and the Drama Logue Award for Best Original Music. In 1993, he went on to win the N.A.A.C.P. Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Randall, in Matthew Witten's original play "Washington Square Moves". Soon after winning the NAACP Award, Leslie was cast on several television sitcoms, and episodic television shows. Leslie plays sax, flute, percussion & vocals and enjoys performing with his cover band (The G Money Band) & his original band (Right Hand Rule) a spoken word band. Leslie's favorite actors are Don Cheadle, Idris Elba & Angela Bassett. He looks forward to joining their ranks in the very near future. Show less «
