Katelyn Logan Wells is an Ottawa-born actress who began her career at the young age of 14. With a background in theatre but a love for the screen, she made the transition to film and television acting with roles in national television commercials and feature films, most notably playing a teenager in therapy in the Hit ABC Family Original movie Cyberbully (2011), alongside Disney Channel and Hannah Montana alum Emily Osment, as well as fellow seasoned Canadian actress Kelly Rowan, of The O.C. success.Katelyn has also had the pleasure in working alongside critically acclaimed Canadian Directors Charles Binamé (Cyberbully, Maurice Richard) and Don McKellar (The Grand Seduction, The Red Violin), as well as international talent and Best Director nominee for the British Independent Film Awards, Lenny Abrahamson (Room, Frank) and Oz Perkins (Legally Blonde, Star Trek, The Blackcoat's Daughter).In September of 2015 Katelyn attended the Toronto International Film Festival to debut the international screenings of director Oz Perkins' The Blackcoat's Daughter (previously known as February), starring Emma Roberts (American Horror Story) and Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), as well as the highly anticipated Oscar-nominated film and winner of the Grolsch People's Choice Award Room (2015), directed by Lenny-Abramson. Based off of the New York Times best-selling novel of the same name, Room, written by Irish-Canadian author Emma Donoghue stars Brie Larson (21 Jump Street, Short Term 12), Joan Allen (The Notebook, The Bourne Supremacy), and William H. Macy (Fargo, Shameless).Katelyn made her silver screen debut on the critically acclaimed Canadian television series Anne (2017), a co-production between The CBC and Netflix, playing the recurring role of Mary Joe, maid to the Barry family, on the series.Graduating high school with a Fine Arts degree in Theatre, Katelyn went on to study at Ryerson University majoring in Radio and Television Arts, and minoring in English, a degree for which she graduated from in June of 2017.As a rising starlet with experience alongside some of the most talented and influential actors and directors in the industry, it is clear Katelyn's star can only shine brighter in a career she promises has only just begun!
