Julia Stier is an LA-based actress, writer, and model. She has enjoyed success both onstage and onscreen, and is a member of the acting company of Hero Theatre. Notable members of this esteemed theatre company include Ivonne Coll (Jane the Virgin) and Jeanine Mason (Roswell).As a part of her onscreen work, Julia has hosted two television shows -CU@USC and Balance-which aired in the greater Los Angeles area. On CU@USC - a live, 30-minute talk show - Julia had the opportunity to interview many industry professionals, including Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (writer of Footloose) and actress Yara Shahidi (Black-ish, Grown-ish).Since graduating, Julia has appeared in numerous short and feature films. She has performed with many well-known theatre companies, including Independent Shakespeare Co., Hero Theatre, and Theatricum Botanicum. Julia is an Actor's Equity Association Membership Candidate.With Theatricum, Julia appeared in The Skin of Our Teeth, which earned a nomination for LA Drama Critics Circle's McCulloh Award for Revival.In July 2018, her original one-act play Last Night in Town had its Off-off Broadway premiere at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre in New York City. She was also the book writer for Hero Ignite's annual Hero Song Cycle Cabaret. Furthermore, she has worked extensively with It's Personal, creating solo performance pieces.In her comedy work, Julia has performed at The Comedy Store, The Complex Theatre, and is the co-creator of the sketch comedy channel, Adult Children.Julia has also enjoyed success as a print model, and has worked for top brands such as Canon, Hillflint & Reform, and House Rossil Jewelry.As her day job, Julia has worked as a journalist for multiple publications, and even created her own publication, Players, Performers, & Portrayers, which serves as a resource guide for young actors.Julia holds a BA in Theatre and a minor in Cinematic Arts from the University of Southern California.
