Jose M. Levy is a Film and TV Series Producer, specializing in production, film financing, and in the discovery of special gems to be remade in different territories (Mexican, U.S., France, China, etc). Starting in 1997 he produced in Argentina the miniseries "El Garante", which became the best hit ever produced in argentine TV history, wining four Martin Fierro awards (out of seven nominations), a Fund-TV, and three International Broadcasting awards, as well as international recognition, including nominations for an International EMMY, the New York Film & TV festival, and the MIDIA in Spain. Levy started the US venture, purchasing the rights, financing and producing the feature film "Elsa & Fred", with Shirley MacLaine, Christopher Plummer and an amazing supporting cast, directed by Michael Radford. He after Exec.Produced "Dark Places", based on Gillian Flynn's #1 NY bestseller, starring Charlize Theron, Chloe G. Moretz and Nicholas Hoult. His next films include "Up for Love" (French Remake), "Corazón de Leon" (Leon's Heart, Mexican Remake) , all based on Corazon de Leon - the biggest argentinean B.O. hit of 2013, with versions for Mexico, France, China, Brazil, Peru, and soon in USA, "3 Idiotas" (Mexican remake of Indian B.O. biggest Hit), "Sans Filtre" (the French remake of Sin Filtro, biggest Hit in Chile), "The Sonics", a comedy about the comeback of a cult 1960's British rock band whose lead singer awakens from a 45-year coma with an urge desire to put the band together again and make a splash, "Time for Revenge" (based on one of the most awarded films ever made in Argentina year ago), the US TV series "Collateral Man" (based on El Garante), and the 2018 production of his own script "Clipped". Back to the old days, he produced in 1998, the TV series "La Condena de Gabriel Doyle". Levy is the creator of several other TV comedy projects. He's also developing the first fiction-reality TV-Sitcom "Agencia Matrimonial" for Latin TV, and later the USA. And for 2018, he plans to produce his own film screenplay "Clipped", being the first project with an open script worked, edited and polished, with the help of more than 2.000 fans of Clipped's Facebook page. Levy has also experience in Internet marketing and the US Hispanic market. He is a frequent speaker on these subjects at national and international conferences and seminars, such as Book Expo America, PMA PublishingUniversity, and Folio Magazine Conference. Since 1987, he has founded and participates in several successful companies, including one of the most important Latin American book and magazine publishing houses, MP Ediciones, followed by a TV Production Co., and later a Film Production Co.
