His mother worked for Bell South in Macon, Georgia. He was born in Macon, Georgia, and lived there until 1990 when his family moved to Dublin, Georgia. From 1996 until 2003 he served in the United States Coast Guard (USCG) where he participated in the combat of narco-terrorist.
