John Weaver was born in Manchester, England on the 5th of February 1985. He was educated at St Matthew's High School and went on to Xaverian College in 2002 after dropping out of Loreto College and spending almost a year working in Spain at the age of 17. Throughout his education he studied English literature and Drama & Theatre studies then went on to attend various acting classes throughout the North West of England. He began a professional acting career in 2009 when he featured in numerous short films which were entered in to Virgin Media Shorts, Collabor8te and Encounters including The Hive (2010) and When the Dust Settles (2011), both of which went on to win Shooting People's 'Film of the Month' after screenings at the London Short Film Festival with 'The Hive' also appearing at BAFTA and going on to be nominated for a world Vimeo award in 2012. He first appeared in ITV's Emmerdale Farm (1972) in 2011 and still makes appearances as recurring character PC Hayes. Among other TV appearances and theatre work, John also filmed Buzz Dish (2012); a sit com pilot co-written and directed by Dave Spikey which went on to win the Audience Vote Award at Cofilmic and the sit com pilot Scrims (2012) with Lime Pictures as well as appearing in the BBC's 'Turn Up The Talent' showcase. In 2014 John worked on his first feature film The Last Showing (2014) as well as working with ITV as part of their trainee director scheme. Since then, he has worked on the feature films Lapse of Honour (2015) and Freesia (2017) and has been nominated for a Manchester Theatre Award. His most recent work includes guest lead in the BBC's Doctors (2000) and Sky One's Mount Pleasant (2011). John is represented by Jane Hollowood Associates. Show less «
