Joel Lane Hudgins' 40+ year career spans theatre, film, television, and commercials. Born January 11, 1954 in Port Arthur, TX., to Jimmie M. And Mabel Hudgins, a music professor and a piano teacher, Joel spent the first thirteen years of his life in Texas, then, Sioux City, IA, Colorado Springs, Denver, Vail, and Glenwood Springs, CO, as well as Phoenix, Los Angeles, Capetown, SA, and, London, UK. Born a natural athlete, sports took up time year around through high school, culminating in a short career in semi-pro football and rugby. All the while, acting was in the background, waiting for it's opportunity to lead him to the last work he would ever care to do. He attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts/West in Los Angeles, and appeared in numerous stage productions in Denver, including "Five Card Stud" at The DCPA, "Trip to Bountiful" at The Aurora Fox, "The Rocky Horror Show", and "Henceforward" at The Theatre on Broadway. This bigger-than-life Scot/Scandinavian/Native American's roles have been so varied that his persona can play crater-eyed villains, as well as an heartfelt, caring grandfather, uncle, or dignified king. Joel lives in Los Angeles and enjoys hiking, tennis, live music, and constant study of the industry that has chosen him. Show less «
