J.J. Crowne is an actor, voice-over artist and singer/songwriter. He had a B.A degree in Drama/English, then obtained a law degree and worked as a public defender trial lawyer for 30 years while also pursuing his artistic endeavors. Screen acting credits include recurring roles on "Graceland" (USA) and "Every Witch Way" (Nickelodeon), co-starring roles in national VISA card and Ghost Pillow TV spots, starring role in the Elvis Crespo/Deorro music video "Bailar" (27 million YouTube views) and co-starring roles in several indie films produced in the Miami area, including the short film "Benjamin" (a selection for the 2016 Atlanta Sci-Fi Film Festival). J.J.'s voice-over work over the past 35 years has included numerous public service announcements, station ID's and commercials for clients including Toyota and current Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez. He is the narrator and also several character voices for the 2017 SAG audio book "Managing Bubbie" (appearing with Linda Lavin, Gavin McLeod, Lainee Kazan and Judy Tenudo), and is a British-accented character voice in the Museum Of African American History & Culture/Smithsonian in Washington, DC. His music career has included the publication of jingles, cues and themes for FOX TV, PBS, Univision, several documentary films and dozens of South Florida and regional radio & TV spots. J.J.'s 2013 self-titled solo album made the national Spins Tracking System Country Radio Top 30 Chart and was the #1 Internet Folk album on the Roots Music Radio Review national chart in November 2013.
