Born in Richmond, Virginia to local civil rights activist, educator and magistrate Magdalene Freeman Turner and minister Reverend Jacob Turner, Jr, Jantonio Turner from an early age had a calling towards entertainment resulting in lead roles in local theater and high school productions. Fresh out of college and while working for Procter and Gamble in Corporate America, Turner came up with the idea of a gospel music festival in the festival capital of the world, New Orleans, Louisiana. After his first production fell short of his hopes and aspirations, Turner ventured to Los Angeles, CA. He would find opportunities as a writer and local public access producer before coming up with his next great idea of America's first national cable and television network totally dedicated to American football. Turner would be bought out and the opportunity squandered. Turner vowed to return to entertainment when he would control his own path and destiny.In August of 2017, Turner finished his directorial debut - a horror thriller with a taste of political satire - boasting of the most diverse cast in this history of Hollywood. "And Then There Were None - 2017" has a cast including members from 8 ethnic groups and carries the message that there is no action without consequence - political or otherwise. The movie is in consideration at major film festivals with distribution talks that have begun.Being the great great great great grandson of infamous slave revolt leader Nat Turner, Turner's next project which is in preproduction is entitled, "The Resurrection of Nat Turner," and carries the message that social injustice is the biggest spark for social change.It is Turner's stated intention to "Entertain Millions with Positive Messages."
