James Briggs

James Briggs was born on November 14, 1983 in Adelaide, South Australia. The eldest of two sons of parents Michael and Kathryn Briggs, James moved in 1991 to Darwin, Australia for school. In 2002 Briggs moved a second time to Melbourne, Australia, where he completed high school at Footscray City College that same year. James majored in writing for the web and film studies at La Trobe University in Melbourne; he earned a Bachelor of Media Studies (with Honors) from La Trobe in 2008. Briggs has written for such notable websites as the IMDb (his bio on actor Tony Curtis was referenced in The New Yorker), Suite101, and Star News.
