Gwendolyn GaBree (born Gwendolyn Ridgeway) is an American actress born and raised in the Midwest. Originally studied film in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Orlando, Florida at Valencia College, said to be "One of the best film schools in the Country," by Steven Spielberg. She returned to Milwaukee to pursue another artistic passion of hers and became a successful graphic designer (gwengabree.weebly.com). In late in 2007, following a strange urge to perform, she attended an open casting call for a community stage performance of The Odd Couple and was cast as one of the leading ladies. She decided this was her calling and would officially to return to the film scene, but this time on the other side of the camera. After an intense, whirlwind period of study at the Historic Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Gwendolyn began a career on the large and small screens. In the summer of 2008, she landed her first two roles simultaneously, a small part (Eve Drag's Mother) in Nervous System Entertainment's psychological, sci-fi, thriller Thinking Speed and (Alyia) in Synamagik Film's suspense thriller Dreams of Darkness. Both roles were dark, mysterious, multi-dimensional characters. These roles allowed Gwendolyn to showcase her ability to play characters that require many levels of self invention. Jumpstarting her professional resume, these roles led to other projects such as playing the lead (Jessica) in David Ori's horror prequel Rise the Dead: The Beginning in 2009. Switching things up she was able to play the powerful, confident heroin, in addition to some intense combat training for several combat/fight scenes. In 2010, Gwendolyn starred in a few independent short films as well as spending some time on the small screen in several state-wide commercial campaigns and most recently cast in Edmond Coisson's upcoming feature, Precious Mettle, in addition to venturing into the world of stand-up comedy in the Milwaukee/Chicago areas.
