Quinn was born in Dublin, Ireland, and moved to the United States with his mother and two sisters in 1988. His first role was as a pool shark in the Richard Marx video Satisfied. He later landed a major role in the John Travolta film Shout (1991), where he shared a screen kiss with Gwyneth Paltrow. He went on to have roles in a number of other movies and television series. His most notable roles were as Becky's husband, Mark, on Roseanne (1988) and half-demon Doyle on the WB's Angel (1999). He died of a heroin overdose in 2002. Show less «

When you get to speak Irish, you become more at one with yourself, you kind of have a spark when you use it, and I think it's a great dialect. When they first cast me, I was a pretty avid fan of vampire movies and Celtic mythology, so I was excited to get a chance to walk in Doyle's shoes and have fun with it. Show less «

I'm into doing my own stunts. I learned [how to] years ago when I was doing a show for American TV called Covington Cross. I had a lot of fighting and rough stuff in that and I always want to do my own stunts -- it just looks a lot better. We've got really good stunt guys on the show and they teach us all this stuff. The other night I had to put on a back brace and pads and everything -- I want to participate and they're letting me, so it's pretty cool. Show less «
