Born to an English mother and Greek father, he grew up with his mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Chicago's south side. In 1968 he married and began his acting career in Chicago. He relocated his wife and three children to Los Angeles and found work primarily as a day player, stuntman and under five (meaning a part with under five lines to speak). His most prominent role was as a drill instructor in the Clint Eastwood star vehicle "The Enforcer". With some work under his belt, he took his career ambitions overseas. Using a letter of introduction from a prominent actor he flew to Italy where he performed as both actor and stuntman in a number of television productions. After voice over work in Europe, he flew back to the US to live with his two children in Los Angeles and continue to pursue his career stateside. He was diagnosed with cancer in the early 1990's. He successfully won his first onslaught with the disease, but the cancer returned in the late 90's. He informed his family that he was going to refuse chemotherapy the second time around. He was found dead in his Tuscon, Arizona apartment April 24th. Upon his death, his remains were sent back to his home town of Chicago where he is interred at St. Michael the Archangel cemetery. Mr. Marshall's stage name is based upon the initials of his three daughters, Gina, Linda, and Marie. Show less «
