(Paternò, 22 ottobre 1971) is an italian actor, producer, stage director and story-teller. He won a Ciack d'Oro Award. He stars in Buongiorno, notte, Si può fare, Noi Credevamo, Il racconto dei racconti - Tale of tales; in the tv series Rome, Rex, L'ispettore Coliandro; in several short movies and on stage in performances like Serata a Colono and Othello.Raised learning the sicialian narrator's tradition, started acting in the Theatrical Research Center 'Molo 2' in Catania directed by Gioacchino Palumbo since 1996, then at the International Cinema and Stage School of Ischia withe Mario Martone, director which marked his stage carrier, since from Edipus in Colono (2004) and Evening in Colono (2012). Later Martone bring Giovanni at Stable Theatre of Torino for Death of Danton. He founded the Story-telling Research Center 'Casa-Teatro' in Paternò, after founding the acting company Baternù. He translated in sicilian The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.In 2007 Manetti Bros. opposed him to Francesco Arca as villain in the seventh season of the tv series Rex, in which he acted in three episodes and lately in the eighth season. In 2011 he played the main role in the miniseries I cerchi dell'acqua by Umberto Marino, opposite to Alessio Boni and Vanessa Incontrada.Whit director Alessandra Pescetta founded 'Casa dei santi', a production company, acting and producing The Nightless City, a movie picked for the Taormina Film Fest in 2015.
