Born in Wilmington, DE, Gerald Timothy Yelverton, Jr. grew up in a military family. His father was a member of the United States Navy and mother was part of the United States Air National Guard. He has one younger brother and one younger sister. Gerald attended 13 schools before graduating from John Dickinson High School in Wilmington, DE. At Dickinson he studied theater under Michael Vuccola. He has attended several colleges to study theater. Gerald has performed in several theater productions at the Dickinson Theater, Cheyney Theater and the Wilmington Drama League.In one of his first film productions "Brad Podoski's PMS" he played the character Rusty Phoenix. The film went on to win both "Best Film" and "Best Comedy" at the 2009 Wilmington Fringe Festival 24-Hour Competition.In 2011 he appeared as four characters in the stage production "No Child..." at the Wilmington Drama League Ruby M. Stanley One-Act Play Festival. The production won "Best Production". It then went on to place First Runner Up" at the 2011 Delaware Theater Association Festival (DTAFest). Finally, "No Child..." won several awards at the 2011 Eastern States Theater Association Festival (ESTA) including, "Second Runner Up", "Best Ensemble", "Best Stage Management" and Several "Best Actor" awards. Gerald Yelverton won "Best Actor" for his four roles.In 2011 Gerald appeared in the Investigation Discovery Channel Series "Disappeared" in the episode titled "The Darkest Night".In 2012 Gerald will be seen along side actors Ernie Hudson, K.D. Aubert, Cynda Williams, Joe Estevez and Todd Bridges in the feature film "Turning Point". Show less «
