His family is from Cyprus, and George has visited the island on many occasions. One of his fondest memories of Cyprus was attending the Kourion, an ancient outdoor cinema. Unfortunately, his next visit to the island unfolded like a real-life Greek tragedy... Cyprus was invaded by the Turkish military.
