Dallas based actress Gail Washington has been acting since she was a child. Those church and small area productions allowed her to be comfortable on stage; which, when she got older, resulted in successful performances in high school and community theater. Gail's desire to act was almost over shadowed by her interest in broadcasting. Having worked for her school districts independent television station in Vallejo CA, she learned how to work on sets in many capacities (stage production, camera operator, announcer and admin). Gail began training for an acting career in her first year of college. The tragedy of her mother succumbing to a long battle with Lupus (a year to the date of Gail's high school graduation) derailed her acting efforts. She completed her college degree in Mass Communications. Gail joined the US Air Force and served for nearly 6 years as a Security Police Specialist. Her thoughts were constantly on broadcasting and acting to a point where she attempted to retrain into the Armed Force Radio and Television unit at her base while stationed in Japan. Although unsuccessful, Gail did not stop dreaming about a career focused on acting.Fast forward! Two years out of the military and living in Northern California - Gail gets an agent, starts working on small productions, transfers to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, gets an agent, works on bigger productions and begins living her dream. With a host of television, film, commercial, hosting and voice over credits under her belt, she is looking forward to many more great experiences she has been training for over the years. In 2005 Gail also added "writer" to her resume. She successfully self-published her first book "Nuggets from a Ghetto Dad" (a self-help guide for those of us who had to "unlearn" something's along the way). She is editing 3 additional books that will be available in 2014. Show less «
