Born in Mexico City, Fernanda Romero started her career participating in the sensational youth group Fryzzby (BMG). Although after her early career she walked away from music to study Fashion Design, her destiny was always to be in front of the camera. After getting the opportunity to host the popular show "Control" on Univision, she collaborated with Telemundo in "La Ley del Silencio," venturing into film with roles in independent films such as the horror movie Creature of Darkness with actors Matthew Lawrence, Kevin Alejandro from Southland ("The Hot Chick"), and comedies Wanna be Me with Shalim Ortiz ("Heroes") and Ready or Not with Alex Rocco ("Smokin' Aces).The production that raised her career to another level was The Eye with Jessica Alba, after which she appeared in multiple Hollywood big-budget films including The Burning Plain from director Guillermo Arriaga, alongside Charlize Theron, Drag Me to Hell by avowed director Sam Raimi, Red Canvas with Maria Conchita Alonso and Once Fallen with Ed Harris.In 2009 Fernanda participated in her first soap opera in Mexico, where she played the female lead in Eternamente Tuya of TV Azteca. Fox (in several festivals, winning awards for "Best Film at Hispanicize in Miami", "Best Film at Worldfest in Houston", "Best Film and Best Director at the Boston International Film Festival"), Number Runner, her first British production with star Jon-Paul Gates, Fighters Chance with the ex-boxer Evander Holyfield and the NBC pilot County with Aimee Garcia and Jason Ritter. She also worked alongside Oscar winner, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Christian Serratos, in Broken Doll with director Trudy Sargent.Romero recently filmed Ghost Team One, which has been a big hit at film festivals in the United States, including Slamdance Film Festival, Florida Film Festival and the Newport Beach Film Festival. She also is part of the film 3 Geezers in which she appears next to renowned actors like J.K. Simmons, Tim Allen, and Scott Caan.
