Erin Dangler was born in Washington, DC, the son of Sue Foltz, a speech pathologist, and Jeff Foltz, a financial planner and author. Dangler has a sister, Kim and a brother T.J. She grew up in Berwyn, PA a suburb of Philadelphia. Erin did her first musical (Guys and Dolls) in middle school and has been hooked ever since. She started performing in community theatre playhouses all around suburban Philadelphia and was in every possible production at Conestoga High School . Erin attended Denison University where her school's theater department presented her with the David Round's Theatre prize for the most promising graduating theatre major. She graduated from Denison with a B.A. in Drama in 1992.After graduation, Erin worked in Maine as an American Sign Language Interpreter and Cued Speech Transliterator for Deaf students while also building drama clubs and dance classes at local schools. She then landed the role of Edna Klein and a Stage Interpreter in a national tour of Children of a Lesser God with the Cleveland Signstage Theatre (theatre for Deaf and hearing actors). After marrying, Erin moved to several areas of the country (upstate New York, Jackson, MS, Memphis, TN and currently Chapel Hill, NC) where she continued to act and build her theatre schools.Erin has lived in Chapel Hill, NC since 2008 where she owns and operates Broadway Bound, a musical theatre training program for children and teens. She also continues to work in front of the camera as an actor, singer, dancer, host, and voice-over artist. When she's not incredibly busy acting or teaching, Erin teaches yoga and Pilates and enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian and her children, Josie and Mitchell.
