Erin Carufel is an American actress, born in Modesto, California on September 28. Her mom, Catherine worked as a checker in a grocery store and her father, Michael as a salesman. When she was two years old, her father was transferred by his job to Beaverton, Oregon where her and her younger brother, Michael Jr. grew up. At an early age Erin was exposed to the arts and athletics. Her mother put her in tap dance class at the age of four, which was the beginning of extensive dance training and yearly recitals. Her first performance in a stage musical came in Junior High when she played the Bride of Frankenstein in "Tap Your Terror Away." She later went on to sing, dance and act in other musical theatre performances such as "Me and My Girl" and "The Will Roger's Follies." Erin's first paid job in the entertainment industry was when she was in High School, she was an extra in the Richard Dreyfuss film "Mr. Holland's Opus" (1995) which was being shot locally in Portland. Erin knew from a very young age that she one day wanted to be a professional actress. After graduating from High School, she left for Los Angeles to continue her education. It was in L.A. that she attended the University of Southern California and earned a B.A. in Theatre Arts. Erin was always an excellent student and graduated Cum Laude. She spent her Junior year studying at the University of Kent, in Canterbury, England, it was here that she studied the classics and earned a degree in Drama. After college, Erin continued her journey working in Television, Film and on the stage. When she was a teenager, Erin's celebrity crush was Jean Claude Van Damme and that led her to begin studying Martial Arts in High School. Her Martial Arts skill came in handy and ultimately landed her her first big Television role playing the Young Yvonne Craig in a CBS Movie of the Week called "Return to the Batcave: The misadventures of Adam and Burt" (2003). She chose to show the casting director some of her martial arts moves when she went in to read for the part and the casting director gave her an on-the-spot callback to come back later in the day to audition for the director. Erin, again, showed off her martial arts moves at the callback, but this time instead of nailing it, she ended up blowing it when one of her moves backfired. Instead of landing the move, her leg hit the back wall where many vintage Batman photos were delicately displayed and her boot ripped and tore down most of the photos. Erin also made another bold move when she saw that they were casting for the film "The Lincoln Lawyer" (2011). She picked up the phone and called the producer and told him that she was perfect for the part and asked for an audition. She booked the role of Leslie Faire. Subsequently, Erin played another attorney in the original play "Treat Yourself Like Cary Grant" for The Elephant Theatre Company in Hollywood, CA.Currently, Erin is attached to star in a biopic that is in development.
