Eric Matheny

Eric Matheny grew up in Los Angeles and Atlanta.Matheny's professional acting career began at age 13 when he was cast in a Foot Locker commercial. At 16, he made his network television debut in the Emmy-nominated ABC Movie of the Week, Run Down the Rabbit, starring opposite Roger E. Mosely. Matheny's theatrical film debut was opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, playing his doctor in J. Edgar.He has guest starred in numerous hit network television series including Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Family Law, The Beach Boys: An American Family, CS!, Without a Trace, CSI Miami, and Bones among others; as well as the Fox pilot That Guy, directed by Betty Thomas.Matheny is also a screenwriter and producer. His original screenplay America, co-written with Isa Totah and Will Potter, is in pre-production with Oscar-winning producer Mark Johnson (Rain Man, Chronicles of Narnia).Watershed, an original screenplay co-written with Jason Regensburg is in pre-production with Brent Emery (Stanford Prison Experiment, The Road Within).Eric is a co-founder of The Acting Center of Los Angeles and is involved in numerous charitable organizations.
