The middle child of Crawford, one of Canada's last remaining orthopedic shoe makers and mother Anita, police officer and tattoo artist. His parents of English, Irish, Scottish and German ancestry raised him in a beautiful small valley town of Lumsden, Sk. After graduating high school, Hicks moved out to B.C. to pursue a career in Prosthetics and Orthotics becoming the youngest certified Prosthetist in Canadian history; during this time he won overall best talent as well as best TV commercial at the Canadian Model and Talent Convention. He immediately moved to Toronto to sign with a talent agency and the rest was history. Since then Eric has trained extensively and worked on numerous short films and series, producing and directing a couple of his own. He has since gone on to play parts in movies such as White Night (2015) and Killing Mommy (2015) as well as playing a lawyer on Quantico (2015), a cop on The Strain (2015), and 6 episodes as Constable Fox on the new Canadian 6-Part TV series Cardinal (2016).
