Elma Stefanía Ágústsdóttir was born and raised in a small town in southern Iceland. She graduated as an actor with a B.F.A. in Acting and Performance from the Department of Performing Arts, Iceland Academy of the Arts, in 2013. On graduation, she was immediately offered a contract with The National Theatre of Iceland. Since then she has acted in the films Borgriki 1 and 2, the TV drama Réttur, and for her roles in theater she has been nominated for three Gríma Theatre Awards in Iceland, in as many years.
