Dr. God is a Los Angeles based comedy group consisting of five members: Sean Cowhig, Neil Garguilo, Brian James O'Connell, David Park, and Justin Ware.In addition to performing live all across the country, they're a full-service content creation machine for film and television, working as writers, actors, producers, and directors (they'll even get you a coffee if you ask nicely). Their first feature film, Bloodsucking Bastards, written by and co-starring the group and directed by O'Connell and produced by Ware, has just been selected as the opening night feature for the Slamdance Film Festival. They also just completed the second season of their television series MOCKpocalypse for AXSTV and recently sold pilots to two different cable networks.Individually or as a group, Dr. God has created content for Relativity Media, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Fox, Imagine Television, Warner Brothers, Disney Channel, Playboy TV, National Lampoon, TV Guide Network, IFC, AMC, CNN and many other impressive names that they can't remember right now. Additionally, as performers they have appeared on Comedy Central, MTV, Vh1, G4, The Reelz Channel, Playboy TV and innumerable web channels.A comedy powerhouse that the Huffington Post described as an improv version of the '67 Green Bay Packers and '92 Chicago Bulls (which they presume was a compliment), Dr. God has produced a number of successful short films including Deerskin Lake in 2012, which received a Silver (highest) and Bronze (second highest) honors at the 2012 Telly Awards and won the DV Awards and The Las Vegas Film Festival. Additionally, their short film Alisha was a front page pick on Funny or Die, and they also wrote and starred in Matthew Lillard's directorial debut short, The Story of Santa. To stay true to their comedic roots and to give their friends an excuse to drink, Dr. God performs their unique brand of improvisational comedy every other Saturday night in Los Angeles. They've also performed at festivals and theaters all across the country including Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Phoenix, Austin, New York, and Montreal (yes, they know that Montreal's not in the country). The centerpiece of their live performances is the Dr. God Revival, which takes place once a month with celebrity guests who deliver monologues as inspiration for the improv. Past guests have included Matthew Lillard, Fran Kranz, Linda Cardellini, Harold Perrineau, Rachelle Lefevre, Noureen DeWulf, Efren Ramirez, Cassidy Freeman, Nora Kirkpatrick, Guillermo Diaz, Dave Holmes, Annabeth Gish, Brett Davern, Beau Mirchoff, WWE wrestler John Morrison, and Emo Phillips.
