Dominic is an actor, writer, producer and filmmaker that was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He was recently named (alongside Gina Rodriguez and Oscar Issac) one of the "12 Latino Actors Who Killed It in 2014". Dominic has appeared in over 45 films and television shows. He is most recognized for his work as Manny Spamboni on the Emmy Award Winning Children's Show, The Electric Company, and as Anibal on the series ,Power, created and executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. Other recent guest appearances include: The Blacklist, Orange is the New Black, Louie, CSI: New York, Blue Bloods, Nurse Jackie and numerous Law and Order episodes. In 2015, Dominic will be seen opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams, 50 Cent, and Forest Whitaker in Antoine Fuqua's Southpaw, and in Oren Moverman's Time Out of Mind. Other recent film credits include: Chris Rock's Top Five and John Sayles' Go For Sisters. Dominic is also an accomplished stage actor, with credits including The Mark Taper Forum's production of Slanguage, Danny Hoch's Till the Break of Dawn, and Ben Snyder's Shoe Story, directed by Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail.In addition to being a professional actor, Dominic has also worked in New York City as a teaching artist, teaching acting and playwriting in high schools, hospitals, and juvenile detention facilities. He directed Teatro El Puente, a youth theater company that toured NYC giving performance/workshops on HIV, domestic violence and LGBT issues. As a playwright, his plays have been seen at the NYC Hip Hop Theater Festival, Rebel Verses at Center Stage New York, the Nuyorican Poets Café, and the Downtown Urban Theater Festival. Dominic won the 2011 BRIO award for excellence in playwriting for his play CRUSH. His screenplay for Crush, won the 2011 HBO/New York International Film Festival Short Film Script Competition. Dominic received $15,000 and 19 days to produce, shoot, and complete the movie before it made its premiere before every screening at the 2011 HBO/NYILFF, and on HBO where it remained in rotation for one year. Crush also had the opportunity to play both national and international film festivals where it has been screened on five different continents. Dominic's feature film, WERQ IT, is currently in development. Show less «
