Based in London, Debra Leigh (formerly known as Leigh Samuels) works as a presenter, actress and voice artist.She is the web presenter for several sites online and a regular guest presenter for QVC for their interior design led textiles.As the voice of over 200 shopping centres in the UK Debra is also heard as the telephone-on-hold voice for many large companies including Barclaycard, Expedia and Message Labs.Added to this, Debra has presented shows for the Kleeneze network, worked as a full time host presenter for Home Shopping Europe -(having trained out at HSN headquarters in Florida), and appeared on both HSN & America's Store. She has even found time to get out and about in journalistic mode, writing her own scripts as a breakfast reporter/presenter for Channel East (Sky Digital). She has broadcast traffic news to Classic FM, Jazz FM, and local BBC radio for AA Roadwatch, & spent two years as a television continuity announcer for the BBC at Television Centre, working on BBC ONE and BBC TWO.A trained actress and singer, Debra has appeared in many musical theatre shows, both in Rep & Commercial theatre. Her favourite acting roles (many under her former name of Leigh Samuels), include playing 'Hodel' in Fiddler on the Roof at Manchester Opera House (with Topol playing Tevye); 'Maria' in West Side Story at York Theatre Royal; and 'Angelika' in the musical Laura based on Tosca at the Palace Theatre,Westcliff.On television, she has played 'Sally' in Waiting for God (BBC), 'Beth' in Body and Soul (Carlton) and a Romanian student called 'Petra' in One Foot in the Grave - the episode being 'Love and Death' which went on to win the BBC Viewers Vote 2000.
