Daryl came to acting looking for adventure and found it for two years in unscripted, live-action, training scenarios in the high Mojave Desert preparing U.S. Marines for duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. A Vietnam Era Marine, Daryl returned after 30 years to train over 60,000 Marines in the Mojave Viper which reduced casualties more than 60%, saving thousands of lives and limbs. In the desert, on the stage and before camera Daryl is known for his raw, authentic and human work. The power of his presence is real and palpable. Daryl came to acting after 7 years in the Marines, 5 years DoD/NATO adviser and 20 years in corporate and university training and leadership roles. Daryl lived among the people and absorbed the cultures of many countries after growing up adapting to fit in to ten school districts across the United States' old South, Southwest, and Midwest. As an actor, Daryl trained for two years with improv legend Del Close in Chicago and was doing so when Del passed on to the hallowed halls of truth and mirth, torqued jaw, knitted and raised brow. Daryl was leading a $100,000,000 Internet project when 9/11 changed his world by shutting it down. Following a decade old call, he moved to Los Angeles and quickly gained acceptance into Beverly Hills Playhouse where he studied under Director Milton Katselas for two years. During this time he co-developed the interactive dinner-theater musical comedy hit, Joni and Gina's Wedding, where he played General Armstrong, father of a bride and the only straight man in a lesbian wedding. It was during the sixth season that Daryl was approached about the need in the desert and he left the play for real world action as a desert dwelling role player, sometimes a good guy, sometimes a wahabi, a bad guy.
