Extremely gorgeous and shapely African-American stunner Darcel Wynne was born on June 13, 1953 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Darcel moved to Hollywood, California as a mature teenager and got her first professional television dancing gig at age fourteen (she lied about her age and claimed she was eighteen in order to get this particular job). Wynne was one of the original, most popular and beloved prominent featured dancers on the immensely successful music variety TV series "Solid Gold." Starting out on the two hour "Solid Gold '79" pilot, Darcel appeared on "Solid Gold" from 1980 to 1983. She rejoined "Solid Gold" in late 1985 and remained on the show until the end of the 1986 season. During the 1986 season Wynne had many speaking roles and regularly announced the countdown recaps towards the end of each episode. Moreover, Darcel not only starred as Cinderella in the music video for "Fresh" by Kool and the Gang, but also appeared in the exercise videos "The Solid Gold 5 Day Workout" and "Darcel's Body Workout." Wynne has small parts as a dancer in the films "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Mame," "Xanadu," the made-for-TV movie "The Girl, the Gold Watch & Dynamite," and "Night Shift." She played Tiger Lily in a stage production of "Peter Pan" starring Sandy Duncan and was featured in a stage production of "Hello Dolly" starring Pearl Bailey. Among the people she has danced for are Carol Burnett, Mac Davis, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Barry Manilow. In addition, Wynne was a dancer for the 1983 Jerry Lewis Telethon, popped up as a dancing girl on roller skates in an episode of the hit sitcom "Mork and Mindy," and was even interviewed by David Letterman on "Late Night With David Letterman." After leaving "Solid Gold" in 1986 she quit show business and became a born-again Christian. She's married to Glenn Leonard of the Temptations and has three children. Show less «
