Christian Malmin

Christian Malmin, the only son of a music professor, has been performing since the age of seven and a member of Actor's Equity Association since 1990. Hailing from the Midwest, he was a contract actor with the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis before moving to Los Angeles in the mid-90s.His TV credits include "True Blood" and the recurring role of Jay Gordon on "Days of Our Lives", "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", "The Young and the Restless", "America's Most Wanted" and "Beat the Geeks." He was the co-host and entertainment reporter of "Cinematic Report" airing on TV Tokyo and his voices can be heard on the "Medal of Honor" and "Call of Duty" interactive games.His film credits include "Pizza with Bullets", with Talia Shire, Harry Shearer's "Teddy Bears' Picnic", David Zucker's "Baseketball", the indie-drama "Prozac Babies" and the leading role in the Western, "The Antagonist."Regional theatre credits include Romeo, Clifford in "Deathtrap", John in "A Life in the Theatre", Stanley in "Brighton Beach Memoirs", Scooter in "Scooter Thomas Makes it to the Top of the World" and "Cyrano DeBergerac." He's also toured extensively with a variety of Children's Theatre Companies, including the award-winning "Fun & Discovery Entertainment, Inc."Christian studied comedy and improv with legendary instructor Cynthia Szigeti at The ACME Comedy Theater and has written and performed sketch comedy with ACME's Bravo Company.Malmin is also an accomplished drummer/ percussionist and performs regularly at the ACME Comedy Theater with keyboardist/ composer, Jonathan Green. He also has musically accompanied renowned comedians Alex Borstein, Seth MacFarlane, Wayne Brady, Adam Carolla and Todd Glass. He played drums on the original music for ABC Family Channel's "Pop Rocks" and a song written for the "Cool McCool" DVD release- "School Of McCool"- with Wally Wingert and guitarist Bruce Kulick (KISS/ Grand Funk Railroad).
