Chris Frisina went to Dartmouth College thinking he would one day end up on Wall St. but instead met Prof. Maury Rapf (whose Dad was a founder of MGM, inspiration for The Last Tycoon) and learned to write screenplays from John Michael Hayes (writer of Rear Window, To Catch A Thief, Carpetbaggers, etc.) He joined the Dartmouth Film Society and fell in love with the movies that Bill & Stella Pence (founders of the Telluride Film Festival) programmed at the Hop and the Nugget Theater. He won the prestigious Peter D. Smith Award in recognition of his talent in filmmaking. Still, it was only after he did a tour as a consultant during the first Gulf War conflict that he decided to pursue his passion for making movies. His play "Cannibals" got produced on the East Coast and that led to his moving to Los Angeles to attend graduate school at USC School of Cinematic Arts. Chris left USC when a literary agent signed him and HBO optioned his feature script "Hungry For Love". He's been happily writing and making movies, TV and digital content ever since. He lives in Silver Lake with his wife (famed designer Sonya (Ooten) Frisina) with their three kids. Show less «
