Carmen Araiza was born on January 31st, 1994, in León Guanajuato, Mexico. At an early age she was taken to Mexico City, where she grew up and spent her teenage years. Carmen found her passion for acting immediately after seeing The Wizard Of Oz musical. Her love for Dorothy, live theatre and films catapulted her interest in the entertainment industry. Her career in the entertaining industry began in the early 1990s. The natural talent, entrepreneurial skills, relentless energy and curious nature helped Carmen to learn the ropes of production and achieve great success in national and international productions, which she headed or assisted.Carmen moved to Toronto, Canada, in 2001, as she's always been eager to live in a multicultural city. In no time, Carmen easily adapted to her new life, once settled in Toronto, and after losing her mother, in 2006 Carmen traveled all over Europe to in Spain, England, Italy and France. Her curiosity to experience new cultures, languages, and food, made Carmen to live in Italy and France. In 2011, after years of traveling the world, she had finally decided to return and settle down in Toronto, a city she is madly in love with and which allows her to focus on her creative writing and now acting career.Carmen feels lucky and thrilled to live in Toronto, a city that has become the home of many Canadian and American productions, and the hosts of TIFF, one of the most important Film Festivals in the world.In 2013, Carmen joined Directors Guild of Canada, ACTRA, and became the official Spanish Dialect Coach for Warehouse13's main cast and Sonia Braga. Same year, she landed her first acting roles in two American shows - "Copper and Warehouse13", was a guest on "The Chef Bar" TV Show, and closed her successful year by playing a nurse in a Canadian TV Show "Saving Hope".2014 has been a busy year for Carmen, she landed her first National Canadian commercial for "Boston Pizza", her shows aired this years, and when she is not acting, works on set as an Assistant Director, or is writing. Carmen excels as an actress, Spanish dialect coach, creative writer, international home cook, visionary, and entrepreneur - skills, which are portrayed throughout her work. She has shown to be dynamic and adaptable in a wide variety of work environments and boldly connecting with people. Her main goal is to build trust and respect, and to ultimately be recognized as an established actress, creative writer and producer.
