Bob Bancroft grew up off the grid in the backwoods of Vermont, the son of a Harvard-educated lumberjack and tennis court builder, and a World War II Army nurse. Sometime in the 70's, he moved from a tent in the Green Mountains to a tiny apartment next to a Jello factory in Hollywood.He's been a breakfast chef at a restaurant billed as "the home of 47 waffle varieties", a waiter at an all-night deli, a delivery man for a blueprint supply shop, a newspaper writer, a magazine and book editor, and a ghostwriter for a celebrity gossip column.Audiences now know him from a string of film and television performances dating from the mid 80's - scientists and doctors, priests and killers, regular guys and nut jobs.He spent 3 years on CBS's Chicago Hope (1994), and was the nefarious Mr. Lutz on Disney's Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999).
