Bill Porter is a professionally trained Actor, Independent Film and Theater producer/playwright,born and raised in South Boston ("Southie") Massachusetts.At the age of 17, Bill entered the US Army delayed entry program while still in high school. Upon graduating high school, he entered active duty in the US Army where he spent the next five and a half years touring Germany, and other Military bases around the U.S. After being Honorably discharged Bill returned to Germany where he succeeded in small business and opened a small German "Pub"called"ZumPosthornchen", which means "The Posthorn". Then on to a independent real estate investment project in SW Florida in which he found very boring. LOL!!Bill embarked on a journey to Hollywood and pursue the ultimate dream of Acting. Bill studied with one of Hollywood's iconic Acting coaches, the late Ivan Markota, at The VanMar Academy of Motion Picture and Television Acting in Hollywood..Bill really found his confidence, and creative love of bringing paper characters to life when he took on live Theatrical stage studies with the late Jerry Jones, creator of the old Dolemite films,all while performing in over 100 show performances from Los Angeles to Las Vegas..Bill was cast by Mr.Jones and held a lead role in the NAACP award winning musical play "Chicago Club RumBoogie" where Bill portrays the mean Mob Boss Tony Costella from the 1940's eraToday you can find Bill headlining the big stage in Rene' Margary's critically acclaimed "Psychological Comedy"."How to Love A Black Woman" How to Love A Black Man" where Bill portrays the colorful Latin Lover "Luis Mendoza".Bill has also produced, worked, and appeared on many award winning Independent film projects,TV shows, and the video game "L.A. Noir"..Bill continues on with a busy future in film and television,where he works along side Eric Roberts in the up and coming true movie documentary"Escaping The Holocaust" in which Bill portrays a mean Nazi Officer.Bill is currently co-producing and leading in the soon to be released Sci-Fi feature film "The Wristwatch".He's also currently writing the musical stage Play "Back to the Sugar Shack" and co hosting/producing a weekly pod cast show based on Boston's notorious Soul nightclub "The Sugar Shack" and its owner Rudy Guarino.. Also in production with a TV series called "The Nest" which is about gang life in Watts Ca. where Bill portrays the District Attorney. Bill also has a few other projects currently in post production.
