Bill Kelley grew up in the state of Oregon, but as a teenager began traveling and working all over the country in such places as Alaska, Michigan, Virginia, and all throughout the Rocky Mountains and Desert Southwest, and is an active hiker, mountain climber, boater, skier, and bungee jumper. He then was trained as a filmmaker at the Northwest Film Center in Portland, Oregon, and at Public Access TV in Salem, Oregon.After graduating, Bill began making films in both narrative and documentary film, writing both original screenplays and adapting classic literature as the basis for his work, with his film festival breakthrough coming with the adaptation of HP Lovecraft's short story The Evil Clergymen (2002) appearing at 2002's HP Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon.Learning all aspects of filmmaking, he is not only capable of working as a 1-man crew as well as actor on his films, but is also active on many outside productions, working as an actor, sound designer, and cinematographer.
