Anna-Mai Hoek

Anna-Mai had a late but inspired start to acting, first training at the age of 35 at the National Theatre Drama School followed by NIDA OPEN and 16th Street Actors Studio in Melbourne, Australia. In October of 2016 she was lucky enough to train in New York where she attended classes at Susan Batson Studio in Manhattan. Anna-Mai is a very versatile actor whose strengths lie in the portrayal of strong female characters and offbeat personalities. She is perfect for the role of nurse, cop, mean boss, therapist, or the down and out bikie mother from the suburbs. She best known for her role as ER Nurse in TV Mini -series Hungry Ghosts . Anna-Mai is a Remedial Massage Therapist, Teacher and a member of the natural health community. As a young person she worked for Television New Zealand as a Camera Operator. Show less «
